It weighed 48 lbs. &nbsp;The largest ling in the tournament at the time was 35 lbs, so we knew we were leading at that point. &nbsp;We decided to check out one more spot before we headed for the scales. &nbsp;When we pulled up to the next spot, a huge school of ling came up to the boat. We ran a few miles out of the Pass and found a shrimp boat cleaning out their nets. &nbsp;The bait was in the water less than a minute before it was picked up by a 4 ft blacktip shark. &nbsp;After a 20 min battle, the shark bit through the 400lbs leader and got away. &nbsp;With in minutes of tossing out the next bait, we were hooked up with a 3 foot blacktip. &nbsp;We boated &nbsp;the shark for a few pics before letting it go. Around 9am we went to one of my favorite red fish holes. &nbsp;It was not long before we had double and triple hook ups on solid reds. &nbsp;The fish ranged between 24 to 32 inches. &nbsp;My crew kept their 4 limits of reds and let many others go. &nbsp;After the tide changed and the fish turned off, we picked up a few trout to finish of the day.
